It is too good to be true ... is PermaCap really a one-type fits all product?
Yes, almost 95% of the market takes the screw-style cap (with the exception of Ford and GM vehicles starting in 1997); 5% takes the cam-style cap.

With continuous use, as with taxicab drivers, will the constant insertions (opening/closing) cause early wear of the cap?
PermaCap is made of high strength materials - right here in the "Good Ole USA" - under exacting quality standards of fiberglass reinforced nylon. The cap incorporates a dual backup spring design, all in conjunction with specialty formulated gaskets and O-ring materials, the type widely used in the aircraft industry which are resistant to oils, fuels, greases, hydraulic fluids, pressure, heat/cold and friction. That is why we offer a Lifetime Warranty!

What is the anticipated useful life of PermaCap?
Independent laboratory test results show that the expected useful life of PermaCap exceeds twenty years - based on two fill-ups per week.

Does PermaCap's design affect the vehicle's onboard fuel system?
No, PermaCap is fully compatible. The negative pressure (vacuum) build-up will be relieved by the flap giving way at pre-determined pressure levels. Positive pressure is relieved by the vehicle's own onboard pressure release system, which is required by Federal law to prevent the discharge of fuel-laden vapors into the atmosphere. Failure to screw cap on tightly, may cause the "check engine" light to flash.

Why is PermaCap environment friendly?
PermaCap's unique self-sealing design is more environmentally friendly than conventional gas caps. The time taken to actually begin fueling and the time taken when finished fueling remove and replace the cap, fuel vapors needlessly escape into the atmosphere. This unnecessary evaporation is eliminated with PermaCap because there is no longer an opening allowing evaporation of fuel into the atmosphere.

What is the story on the warranty?
Simple, and we are proud of it ... a Lifetime Warranty. It doesn't get any better!
