You can actually fill your tank without ever removing your gas cap! PermaCap's spring flap A permits safe, easy, no mess, environment friendly fueling of your car. Insert gas nozzle slowly through BOTH PermaCap's spring flap A, and your vehicle's existing flap B (unleaded fuel restrictor). Reduces harmful fumes escaping into the environment. After fueling, withdraw nozzle - That's all there's to it!
Great care has gone into the manufacture and design of PermaCap to bring you years of trouble-free use. Your PermaCap is guaranteed for its lifetime in the hands of the original purchaser.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1. Remove existing fuel cap.
STEP 2. Notice the existing spring flab B unleaded fuel restrictor in
your vehicle's fuel filler neck. This is the opening which you must penetrate
with the fuel nozzle when you fuel-up.
(See diagram flap B. Caution: See step 2 below "How To Fuel
Up")
STEP 3. Twist or screw on your PermaCap until it is tightly in place. Failure to
screw cap on tightly, may cause the "check engine" light to flash.
HOW TO FUEL-UP
STEP 1. Insert nozzle slowly into your PermaCap to avoid possible fuel spray.
Your PermaCap is designed for use with unleaded fuel only. Your PermaCap is
compatible with most vapor recovery nozzles. *
STEP 2. Before fueling, the fuel nozzle must be inserted all the way down
into the opening A while you guide the nozzle to penetrate the
existing spring flap B unleaded fuel restrictor opening.
Caution: Be certain to insert fuel nozzle slowly to completely penetrate the existing spring flap B opening of your vehicle's unleaded fuel restrictor. Failure to completely penetrate the spring flap B opening may result in fuel splashing back out of the fuel filler neck and may cause serious injury. Insert nozzle slowly into PermaCap to avoid injury from the possible fuel spray which may result from fuel under pressure in your fuel system.
STEP 3. When finished fueling, withdraw nozzle. That's all there is to it!
Friendly tip - It is a good idea to recheck your PermaCap every so often to insure that it remains screwed on tightly. Failure to screw cap on tightly, may cause the "check engine" light to flash. Thank you for purchasing PermaCap!
* In some instances when nozzles have been modified, remanufactured, damaged or of such design which will not allow the fuel nozzle to penetrate the orifice of your PermaCap and the unleaded fuel restrictor flap, simply remove your PermaCap and fuel in the normal manner. You may choose to patronize only those service stations where the nozzles are compatible.
